Q&A with JEremy Gaetzman:

Where did you grow up?
I was born in Lancaster CA but have spent most of my life in Buckley/Bonney Lake

What are your hobbies outside of work?
My favorite hobby is restoring my 95 GMC Sonoma. My other hobbies include building computers, playing video games, and playing magic the gathering.

What is your favorite thing about working at Cimco-GC Systems?
In all honesty, my favorite thing about working at Cimco-GC Systems has to be the friendly environment. I don’t feel like I HAVE to come to work. I GET to come to work.

Describe a time that your work made a difference and what you found satisfying about it.
When I reorganized our link-Seal area in the warehouse and it became my Magnum Opus. It was satisfying because it’s now easier to find and stage our overstock. It even freed up some extra space for our stock locations.

What is your superpower?
My super power isn’t so much a super power but more of a characteristic. You will not find a person more willing to learn something. It makes me a Jack of all trades in a way and that may be my super power.

Do you have any surprise skills that no one in your professional world really knows about?
I used to do MMA. I spent most of my time boxing when I was younger, but when I got older I leaned more toward Jiu-Jitsu. Bonus fact, when I was in 5th grade, I could throw a baseball 87 miles per hour.

Best advice you ever received:
Your’e not dumb for not knowing something.

Describe a time that you saw one of Cimco-GC Systems' values in action? (Trust, Partnership, Professionalism, Innovation, Relationships) Why was it memorable? What did it mean to you?
TRUST. In my time with the service team. I had the pleasure of seeing entire cities trust their water systems to just a couple of people. 90% of the time they are in a vault and can’t be seen so that trust HAS to be there. And yet, every time they climb out of that hole in the ground, water is flowing exactly how it needs to be with a valve that doesn’t need to be serviced again for 3 to 5 years.

Lightning round:

Do you have any nick names? Some people call me Jay and I have some friends that call me Gates.

Favorite album: The Getaway by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Favorite food: Anything Mexican. I grew up in southern California and it reminds me of home sometimes.

Dream vacation destination: Iceland or Scotland

One thing you couldn’t live without: My fiancé.
